位于山地与平原的交接处，交通便利，在建的轨道交通和高速公路将使都江堰成为联系龙门山与成都的首要纽带；
It is located in the joint of mountains and plains. With convenient transportation, constructing railway system and the highways, Dujiangyan will become the primary link of Longmen Mountain and Chendu.
拥有青城山，都江堰等世界自然文化遗产，是区域内独具特色的风景旅游城市；
由于其得天独厚的交通地理和自然人文资源优势，都江堰将成为龙门山脉整体开发二级门户的龙头，于整个区域的发展至关重要。
In possession of Qingcheng Mountain, Dujinagyan and other world natural and cultural heritage, it is a unique tourism city in the region. With its advantaged geography for transportation and the natural and cultural resource, Dujiangyan will become the leader of the second grade gateway within the Longmen mountain development planning and therefore is of most importance in the whole region.
龙池国家森林公园位于都江堰市域的西北，距中心城区约20公里，在建的都汶高速公路将进一步拉近龙池与都江堰的距离。
Longchi National Forest Park is located in the north-west of Dujiangyan City and the distance between them is about 20 kilometers. The constructing Duwen highway will further shorten the distance between Longchi and Dujingyn.
