Vestre Fjord Park is a recreational learning and experience landscape that generously contributes to the full experience of its unique site by the Danish fjord, the Limfjord. It is the nuanced balance between the natural landscape, the activities and functions and the park’s many daily users that really adds life and local character to Vestre Fjord Park.

The Limfjord itself, the largest fjord landscape in Denmark, is the grand potential of Vestre Fjord Park. Here one finds ‘real’ nature - water, bird life, fish, fields, beach and meadows - that together with a wide variety of physical activities and outdoor facilities create the setting for new active experiences related to both nature and the city.

The vision behind the project is to encourage direct contact to the fjord by establishing better accessibility from land to sea. At the same time, the project aim to strengthen the story of the landscape with a multi-functional building structure that frames the many potential activities on the water. The isthmus defines the precise cut between the two water spaces, binding together landscape and built structure - exactly where the experiences of fjord, activities and park become one.
维斯特尔峡湾公园是2017年丹麦景观奖的三个提名者之一，并被授予2017年奥尔堡最佳新建筑奖，并获得2018年A+建筑奖，该项目获2018年WAF奖提名。
Vestre Fjord Park was among the three nominees for the Danish Landscape Award 2017 and has been honoured among the best new architecture in Aalborg 2017 as well as winning an Architizer A+ Award 2018. The project is nominated for a WAF Award 2018.
