Helsinki central library this new library in the heart of Helsinki is a highly functional collection of nearly all kinds of social and public functions and offers a wealth of public services to the public. At the same time, it is also a high-end library utilizing cutting-edge technology and flexible spatial structure technology, which can adapt to different library activities and play the role of common living room and studio in urban life of Helsinki.
该设计的核心概念体现在建筑三层空间之间的互动与流通,建筑前方的公共广场将一直延续至室内,和建筑底层的公共空间融为一体。
The core concept of the design is the interaction and circulation between the three levels of the building
在这一持续蔓延的空间中,建筑拥有一个多功能厅,一个餐馆和一个电影院,这使得人们既可以在此短暂停 留也可以快速的经过。
The public square at the front of the building will continue into the interior, integrating with the public space at the ground floor. In this sprawling space, the building features a multifunction hall, a restaurant and a movie theater, allowing people to either stop briefly or pass quickly.
传统图书馆所需求的安静气氛则体现在顶层——一片漂浮于繁忙都市之上的安静区域,拥有毫无遮挡的城市风景视角,让人在辛苦之余还能获得片刻的清闲。
The quiet atmosphere required by a traditional library is reflected in the top floor -- a quiet area floating above a busy city, with unshaded views of the city and a moment of leisure after hard work
由拱形木结构建造而成的结构体系作为联结层使得上诉的一动一静两层空间完美合作在一起。联结层内的空间让人感觉舒适,营造出适合边做边学的气氛,是当代媒体和最新工具的学习创作天地,拥有各种各样的工作室,如音乐和多媒体工作室。
The structural system constructed from the vaulted timber structure serves as the connecting layer to allow the space of the two floors to cooperate perfectly. The space in the connecting floor feels comfortable and creates an atmosphere suitable for learning while doing. It is a place for learning and creating for contemporary media and the latest tools, with various studios, such as music and multimedia studio.
