在鱼米之乡苏州将兴起一片新城。不同的商业和居住区将沿湖建起。湖边留有一圈相对较狭窄的绿地。我们沿水岸在绿地里设计了一连串的花园，花园的的形式和主题根据周围城市不同的功能而改变。
水岸线的形式富于变化，坚硬笔直的堤岸和曲折自然的堤岸形成了对比。苏州文化的精髓在设计的细节中得到了体现。古典园林里的一些元素，比如粉墙黛瓦和太湖山石，以及传统的材料和图案，被运用、融合到了我们现代的设计中。除此之外我们充分考虑了当地居民对绿地功能的要求。所以我们在郁郁葱葱的公园里还设计了菜园和小型运动场。形式丰富的设计很好的反应了本地文化特征。
A new urban district will be built in a water-rich area of Suzhou. Various commercial and residential zones will be centered around a waterbody with relatively small green zones along the banks. The surrounding functions and the existing conditions of the area form the basis for the program and different design styles. Urban quays and natural water edges alternate to create beautiful contrasts along the water. The centuries-old culture in this area is reflected in subtle design interventions.
A number of principles from ancient garden design, such as walls, rockeries, routes and design elements will appear in a modern form in a few of the gardens. There will also be plenty for the future residents to use such as allotment gardens, sport zones and lush parks. It promises tob e a diverse plan which reflects the surrounding culture.
