圍繞呂伐登 (Leeuwarden) 的N31高速公路擴建需要一個設計｢勾住呂伐登｣ (Haak om Leeuwarden) 嵌入至菲士蘭的公路景觀。由於新高速公路貫穿歷史區 Middelzee ，｢丘｣(terp)的暗喻被使用創造自然連接到景觀及做為景觀中的地標，強調進入呂伐登城市的過渡空間。
Around Leeuwarden (Leeuwarden) the N31 highway expansion requires a design "hooked Leeuwarden" (Haak om Leeuwarden) embedded in Feishi Lan highway landscape. Since the new highway runs through the historic district Middelzee, "Confucius" (terp) metaphor is used to create a connection to the landscape and the natural landscape as a landmark in the city of Leeuwarden emphasis into the transitional space.
